Applied AI Engineer

We're looking for an Applied AI Engineer to help develop and evolve Alysis Code, our open-source AI coding agent that people can rely on for real work. You'll work hands-on across its development from first idea to ship product, alongside a team that builds with AI at its core.

What you'll do

  • Help develop and evolve features end to end across Alysis Code, from core architecture to what people use every day.
  • Build on what makes Alysis Code reliable : the planning, tool use, adjudicate and check that let an agent finish a real task and hand back something you can verify.
  • Work with models from different providers, and measure what holds up with evaluations, not demos.
  • Work with the people and teams using our agents, and turn what you learn into improvements.
  • Ship real work from day one, and help shape what we build next, not just the tickets.

What we look for

  • You care about shipping real, working software, not just prototypes.
  • You write solid code in Python, TypeScript or a similar language. And like owning problems end to end.
  • You've built with large language models (APIs, tool calling, retrieval or agents ), and have a feel for where they break.
  • You use AI as a daily tool, and not only want to push how far it goes , also want to make powerful agents easier and more reliable to use.
  • You explain your thinking clearly and work well in a small team that moves fast.
